The Mandi district is one of the 12 districts of the Himachal Pradesh state in India, The present District Of Mandi was shaped by the merger of these two princely states Mandi and Suket on 15th April 1948, when the State of Himachal Pradesh came into existence.
Ever since the formation of the district, it has not witnessed any changes in its place.
Mandi is also known as “Chotti Kashi” due to its similarity with Varanasi in regard to the Ghats on the bank of the Beas River and the temples of Lord Shiva close to the Ghats.
