Mount Abu Master Plan 2030 - Summary
A Master Plan is a comprehensive long-term blueprint that outlines the vision, strategies, and steps for developing a specific area, project, or business. It helps in systematic planning, resource allocation, and achieving desired goals effectively.
Master plans are commonly used in urban planning, business strategy, infrastructure development, and project management to ensure structured growth and sustainability. The state government is surreptitiously amending the Zonal Master Plan-2030 to allow construction in the notified eco-sensitive zone (ESZ) of Mt Abu.
The Master Plan aims to provide for development while protecting the ecology of the Mt Abu. Vulnerability Analysis is the basis for identifying zones with varying development suitabilities. The primary objective of the Plan is the protection of all natural resources which form the backbone of Mt. Abu’s economy, while outlining directions for sustainable future growth.
Other objectives include providing better and varied tourist attractions and activities, improving existing tourist facilities with a focus on Heritage Tourism, identifying zones of significant heritage concentration, identifying and protecting the cultural landscape, including significant, if less obvious, aspects of Abu’s heritage, for example, cultural histories, and local cuisines.
