The project is expected to be completed by 2027 and will cost approximately Rs 35,000 crores. The expressway will have five sections, each serving as a crucial segment of the roadway project.

The Varanasi-Kolkata Expressway will play a pivotal role in enhancing connectivity for travelers journeying from Delhi to Kolkata, promoting economic activities and trade, and boosting economic growth in the region.
