Delhi-Dehradun Expressway Route Map - Summary

The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway will be 210 km (130 miles), and the expressway will connect three states – Uttarakhand, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh. Right now, the number of planned lanes is six, and there is a possibility of extending this to eight when there is a need.

According to NHAI authorities, it takes about five hours to travel between Delhi and Dehradun right now. After the expressway opens, the time for commuting will reduce by half, i.e., the time taken for travel will reduce to two and a half hours.

The route is divided into four main phases:

• Phase 1: This begins at Akshardham Temple in Delhi and extends to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) for about 32 km, featuring 12 lanes.
• Phase 2: Runs from the EPE to the Saharanpur Bypass, covering approximately 118 km with 6 lanes and includes several interchanges.
• Phase 3: Connects from the Saharanpur Bypass to Ganeshpur, spanning around 40 km.
• Phase 4: Finalizes the route from Ganeshpur to Dehradun, covering about 20 km, incorporating wildlife-friendly structures.
