The French Southern and Antarctic Lands (Terres australes et antarctiques françaises or TAAF) is a group of five overseas territories under French sovereignty in the southern Indian Ocean and Antarctica.
The five domains that make up TAAF are

Kerguelen Islands is the biggest of the five regions, and it comprises of a gathering of islands with a total arrival range of 7,215 square kilometers. It is found within the southern Indian Sea and is known for its harsh climate and tough scene. Crozet Islands, found to the southwest of Kerguelen, is a group of little islands with a total arrival range of 352 square kilometers. Saint-Paul and Amsterdam Islands, found to the north of Kerguelen, are two small islands with a total arrival area of 58 square kilometers.
Adélie Land is found in Antarctica and is the only portion of the TAAF found on the continent. It covers an area of 432,000 square kilometers and is mostly secured by ice. It was named after Adélie Arrive, a coastal region of Antarctica, discovered by French explorer Jules Dumont d’Urville in 1840.
