Banka District Map - Summary
The District of Banka is situated in the far southeast of the State of Bihar. The eastern and the southern border of the district coincide with district Godda of the state – Jharkhand. In the west and northeast, it is bounded by the Jamui and Munger districts respectively. The old district of Bhagalpur is situated on the north side of Banka.
The Geographical area of the district is 305621 hectares i.e. 3019.3465 Sq. Km. The district headquarters of Banka is situated in Banka Town. The district has been established on 21st February 1991. Earlier it was a Sub-Division of the district Bhagalpur.
The district consists of 11 blocks and four municipalities i.e. Banka, Amarpur, Bounsi, and Katoria. Under every Block, there are several panchayats. Block details are as follows:-
