It is currently represented by Tokheho Yepthomi of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), who won the 2019 General Elections with a victory margin of 16,344 votes. The constituency comprises all 60 constituencies of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
The Nagaland Lok Sabha constituency has a rich electoral history, with the Indian National Congress being the most successful party, winning 10 out of 14 elections.
However, since 2004, the constituency has been represented by a member of the Nagaland People’s Front (NPF). In the 2019 General Elections, the NDPP candidate, Tokheho Yepthomi, won 50.00% of the votes, defeating the Indian National Congress candidate, K L Chishi, who received 48.00% of the votes.
