Sanchore is a new district in the Indian state of Rajasthan which was officially declared on 07/08/2023 by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan Mr. Ashok Gehlot.
Its district headquarters is in Sanchore town. Sanchore is situated on the National Highway 68 and the Amritsar-Jamnagar Expressway (NH-754).
Sanchore was once known by the name of Satyapur. As of 2012, a number of infrastructure projects were in progress in Sanchore.
Oil exploration company Cairn Energy discovered 480,000,000 tonnes (1.06 × 10 lb) of crude oil in 2010 in the Barmer-Sanchor Basin.
The Narmada Canal, starting from Gujarat, enters the state of Rajasthan after passing near Silu village in Sachaur Tehsil.
458 km (285 mi) in Gujarat. Pathmeda village near Sanchore has Gopal Govardhan Gaushala, which is India’s largest Gaushala.
