Pehowa Master Plan 2041 - Summary
Pehowa is a Sub Divisional Head Quarter in District Kurukshetra. It is situated at the intersection of Kurukshetra-Gulha road (SH-6) and Ambala Kaithal road (NH-65). It is at a distance of 28 Kms from Kurukshetra, 30 Kms from Kaithal, 52 Kilometer from Ambala and 55 Kms from Karnal Via Dhand-Sitamai-Karnal road. Town is surrounded by rich agriculture hinterland, hence there is ample scope to promote agro based/food processing industries.
The existing town Pehowa is situated at the banks of mythological Saraswati river, virtually the area is interspersed with different branches of the Saraswati Nadi. Location of Saraswati Nadi has been marked on the basis of sajra plan received from Irrigation Department. Although the Saraswati Nadi is a Physical barrier in the southern side of the town yet the industrial development i.e. Rice Mills, Paper Mill have come up across the Nadi having fairly leveled land and good road network
