Download the Uttar Pradesh Parliamentary Constituency map in PDF, JEPG, PNG, and many other formats. Uttar Pradesh is a state in northern India with 80 parliamentary constituencies and 403 legislative assembly constituencies.

The state has seen 17 Vidhan Sabha elections and 16 Lok Sabha elections since independence. Elections to legislative assembly constituencies of Uttar Pradesh are held every five years and conducted by the Election Commission of India.

The Chief Minister of the state is elected by legislators of the political party or coalition commanding an assembly majority and serves a five-year term with a provision of re-election.

The Governor is the head of state, but his or her role is largely ceremonial. The Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, also known as Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha, is the lower house of the bicameral legislature of the state.

There are 403 seats in the house, and members are elected by an adult universal suffrage and a first-past-the-post system to represent their constituencies, holding their seats for five years or until the body is dissolved by the Governor on the advice of the council of ministers.

The state is divided into several districts, and each district has multiple constituencies. The Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) are elected from each constituency to represent the people of that area in the state assembly.
