The 2019 Indian general election in Maharashtra was held in four phases, with 48 seats up for grabs. The major contenders in the state were the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
The UPA consisted of the Indian National Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party, the NDA the Bharatiya Janata Party, and Shiv Sena.
In the 2019 elections, the BJP and Shiv Sena contested 25 and 23 seats, under the NDA alliance. The Congress and NCP contested 26 and 22 seats, under the UPA alliance.
The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) and Maharashtra Swabhimana Paksha (MSP) contested one seat each under the UPA alliance.

The results of the 2019 elections showed that the NDA won 51.34% of the votes, while the UPA won 32.07%. The AIMIM and MSP won 0.73% and 0.02% of the votes, respectively.
The BJP won 27.84% of the votes and 23 seats, while the Shiv Sena won 23.5% and 18 seats. The NCP won 15.66% of the votes and 5 seats, while the Congress won 16.41% and 1 seat.
