South America is a continent located completely in the southern hemisphere of the Earth, bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and the Caribbean Ocean to the north. Atacama Desert: The Atacama Desert, located in the northern portion of South America, is one of the driest places on Soil, with some regions getting no rainfall for decades.
